Princeton University Health Services
Princeton, NJ
The new University Health Services (UHS) Building at Princeton University included 74,700 SF of new construction slated to transform not only service delivery but also enhance the overall experience of the community and place on campus by contributing to a ‘culture of wellness.’ The building’s program accommodated counseling and psychological services, medical services (including outpatient medical, athletic medicine, global and community health, occupational health, and overnight infirmary service), health promotion and prevention services, sexual harassment/assault advising, resources, and education (SHARE) office, and a quality and performance improvement area.
With wellness as a sustainable design through line, UHS targeted LEED Gold certification and employed a hybrid mass timber and steel structure, reducing the project’s carbon footprint while offering a warm and welcoming environment for students to obtain healthcare.
TCT provided estimates for the construction of the Health Services Building. Details of the construction also included a weekly interactive budget management that kept pace with the evolving design.
