NYCDDC Brooklyn Children’s Museum Retaining Wall Replacement Outdoor Space Improvements
Brooklyn, NY
The Brooklyn Children’s Museum Outdoor Space Improvements project rehabilitates aging site infrastructure while transforming the museum’s outdoor environment into a more accessible and functional space for public use and educational programming.
The project includes reconstruction of the deteriorated retaining wall system supporting the museum and adjacent Brower Park, along with improvements to the courtyard, terraces, and surrounding grounds. The redesigned outdoor space will include accessible pathways, gathering and activity areas, landscaping, planting, irrigation, drainage, stormwater management, and lighting. The improvements also create opportunities for play, exploration, classes, and events within a natural setting.
TCT provided cost estimating services at the 75% construction documents phase and prepared the final cost estimate at 100% construction documents for bidding.
